Optimize Your Coagulation Workflow with the Right Centrifuge Setup
Published July 17, 2026Purchasing a new coagulation analyzer? Consider pairing it with a centrifuge array to streamline your workflow right from the start. The correct setup can significantly reduce turnaround times, eliminate manual batching, and keep specimens moving even during peak volume periods.
At Drucker Diagnostics, we’ve designed our centrifuges specifically for coagulation workflows. Here’s how to find the right fit for your lab.

Coagulation analyzers process citrate blood collection tubes—small, time-sensitive specimens where pre-analytical delays directly affect result quality. A centrifuge array allows clinical labs to stage multiple samples simultaneously, so your team can load, spin, and hand off specimens to the analyzer in a continuous flow rather than waiting on a single centrifuge to complete a cycle.
This results in fewer bottlenecks, more consistent turnaround times, and a workflow that scales with demand.
Three Configurations for Every Lab Size
Drucker Diagnostics offers three centrifuge array options for coagulation labs built around the DASH APEX 4 and the DASH Coag, two benchtop centrifuges proven effective in platelet-poor plasma (PPP) preparation.
Option 1: Three DASH APEX 4 units
Best for lower-volume labs
Three DASH APEX 4 centrifuges staged together can process up to 12 samples simultaneously. Each unit runs at up to 8,500 RPM / 4,440 xg and accepts tubes up to 75mm. The compact 7 x 7 x 7 in footprint makes this configuration easy to place even in environments where space is limited. Compatible with citrate tubes up to 13 x 75 mm or 5 mL.
Option 2: One DASH 4 and Two DASH Coag units
Best for medium-volume labs
This hybrid configuration offers the best of both centrifuges in a single array, with capacity for up to 28 tubes at one time. The DASH 4 handles urgent STAT samples while the two DASH Coag units process batches of up to 24 specimens continuously. Compatible with tubes up to 100mm, this array works well for labs managing mixed sample volumes throughout the day.
Option 3: Three DASH Coag units
Best for high-throughput labs
Three DASH Coag centrifuges provide maximum staging capacity, processing up to 36 specimens per cycle. The DASH Coag runs at up to 6,600 RPM (4,400 xg) with a 12-place rotor and is compatible with tubes up to 16 x 100 mm or 10 mL. Continuous staging means the array keeps pace with heavy loads without creating a queue at the pre-analytical step.
Compatible Analyzers
This centrifuge pairing approach is designed to work alongside a wide range of coagulation analyzers, including systems from Beckman Coulter, Roche, Siemens Healthineers, Sysmex, Werfen, and others.
See It in Your Lab Before You Commit
Every Drucker centrifuge is available for a risk-free 30-day evaluation, so you can assess their performance in your own workflow before making a purchasing decision. Adapters are also available for 1–1.5 mL Microtainer/Pediatric collection tubes, making these configurations a flexible option for labs working with a range of specimen types.
