Model 642VES (Horizontal)
The Model 642VES offers digital time and speed adjustment with the ability to establish up to 10 saved pre-sets. Horizontal swing bucket centrifugation prepares samples to CLSI requirements and the unit can run at g-forces ranging from 500 – 2,000 xg in order to meet virtually any testing need.
This centrifuge is ideal for Platelet Rich Plasma, Platelet Poor Plasma, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urine Sedimentation, and specialty applications. Its flexibility and ease of use make it ideal for any application requiring diverse sample preparations.
Model 642VES (Fixed-Angle)
The Model 642VES Fixed-Angle Centrifuge provides the flexibility and performance that clinical laboratories require. Programmable force (from 250 xg to 1,600 xg) and time settings are controlled via an easy to use digital display. The universal power supply and global safety approvals allow the 642VES fixed-angle centrifuge to meet all your global needs.
The 642VES fixed angle offers the flexibility needed to prepare blood chemistry specimens, urine, platelet rich plasma (PRP), and platelet poor plasma (PPP). With its compact size, the 642VES is ideal for any application where flexible settings are needed and specimens are analyzed on site.
Fixed-Angle vs Horizontal Centrifugation
Fixed-angle centrifuges, although less expensive, produce gel layers that may be susceptible to rupture during transport. These damaged samples cannot be used without an additional centrifugation step; yet the CLSI recommends against re-centrifugation for its known negative effects on analytical results. For better gel layer formation, please consider horizontal centrifugation with the model 642VES.
